Thelma Richardson

Thelma Richardson, 89, of Fort Pierce, FL died Wednesday May 9, 2012.

She was born on April 7, 1923 in River Junction, FL and has been a resident of Saint Lucie County for sixty seven years.

Thelma was a member of First Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she served as past President of the Mother’s and Deaconess Ministries, past President of the Home Mission Ministry, member of choir #2, Sunday School Teacher, Pastor’s Aide Ministry and Prayer Band Ministry.

Survivors include her sons, Aaron Richardson Jr, Damon D. Richardson, both of Fort Pierce, FL; Van T. Richardson, of Port Saint Lucie, FL; daughters, Minister Shirley J. Crawford , of Fort Pierce, FL; Margie B. Washington, of San Diego, CA; Catherine Y. Richardson, of Fort Pierce, FL; Loretta Richardson, of Lake Mary, FL; Lenora A. Campbell, of Greensboro, NC; Henrietta Thomas, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; sister, Virginia Glovetz, of Bradenton, FL; seventeen grandchildren, and twenty one great-grandchildren.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Richardson, parents, Addie Lee and Damon McMillan, brothers, Damon McMillan, Van McMillan, Chester McMillan, Clifford McMillan, sisters, Eleanor Johnson, Eddie Jane Smith, and Annie Bell Dixon.

Visitation will be held 4 to 7PM Friday May 11, 2012 at First Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Fort Pierce. A funeral service will be 11AM Saturday May 12, 2012 at First Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden, Fort Pierce. Arrangements are under the direction of Stone Brothers Funeral Home.
