Claude B Ausby, Jr.

Claude B. Ausby Jr, 79, of Vero Beach, FL on Saturday July 21, 2012 at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

He was born on October 21, 1932 in Oakfield, GA and has been a resident of Indian River County since 1945 and the pass ten years in Saint Lucie County.

Claude was a member of Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. He also enjoyed attending other churches. He was a family man, loved traveling with family, family picnics, visiting family, friends, working on cars as a mechanic, and in his younger years he like to play the guitar.

Survivors include his sons, Earl Ausby, of Charleston, SC; Steven Ausby, of Vero Beach, FL;Marlon Ausby of San Antonio, TX Floyd McCormick, of Cordell, GA; daughters, Betty Williams, of Gifford, FL; Evelena Ausby, of Atlanta, GA; Paula Dudley, of Vero Beach, FL; Cynthia Parker, of Holland, MI; Victoria McCloud, of Lantana, FL; Toni Ausby, of Gifford, FL; brothers, Benjamin Ausby, of Hobe Sound, FL; Donnie Ausby, of Carlisle, PA; Arthur Ausby, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; sisters, Ethel Lois Ausby, Barbara Mae Williams, Helen Gail Ausby, all of Vero Beach, FL; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn Ausby, parents, Inez Cobb and Claude B. Ausby, Sr., and thirteen other siblings.

Visitation will be held 4 to 7PM Friday, July 27, 2012 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel, Gifford. A funeral service will be held 11AM Saturday July 28, 2012 at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 4465 28th Avenue, Vero Beach. Burial will follow at Gifford Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Stone Brothers Funeral Home.
