Marion Parker, Jr.

Marion Parker Jr., 75, of West Park, FL died Tuesday February 26, 2013 at home.

He was born October 31, 1937 in Ft. Pierce, a native of Saint Lucie County and resident of Miami.

Marion attended the local schools in Ft. Pierce where he graduated from Lincoln Park Academy.

He served in the United States Army to serve and protect his country. He fought in the Korean War. After completing his tour of duty he returned to the United States and traveled to various cities before settling down in his home town Fort Pierce, FL.

Marion was a member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church of Fort Pierce, where he was baptized at an early age. After moving to Miami, FL he attended Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie Bethel Parker; daughter, Nikita S. Jess; both of West Park, FL; step mother, Donnie A. Parker of Fort Pierce, FL; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his by his parents, Altamese Jenkins and Marion Parker Sr.

Visitation will be held 3 to 7PM Monday March 4, 2013 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11AM Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
